November is a good time to travel to Dumaguete. The reason for this is the Annual Fiesta of St. Catherine or as she is lovingly called, Sta. Catalina de Alexandria. One of the hallmarks of a Philippine City or Town is the concept of Fiesta. This dates back to the Spanish Times where each town would have its own patron saint whose birthdays or special days are celebrated annually.
